I have always wanted to draw a black swan but wasn’t sure how to create a story around one. Then it dawned on me how motherly they are with their brood and this idea was born. I really love the idea of the swan as her very own ecosystem supporting many other creatures on her back as she floats along. Each living being brings their own unique gifts to the World and, in my mind, this is one of hers. Bless the caregivers!
